Stuck in the middle with Steve

We went out to breakfast at WheatField's this morning with some friends of ours, well, actually 3 other couples, but one couple in particular we've been close to. Steve had worked with Allen in the engineering department years ago when he first started working at Conagra and we've kept in touch. We found out this morning that he's transferring to Washtington (state that is, and they're leaving in 2 weeks). Damn and double damn. We've had a lot of fun with them over the years and I'm really going to miss them. Another couple (the husband is retired from Conagra) is also putting their house on the market and moving out west. They were doing their darndest to get Steve and Gary, to rework their resumes to see if they could come out west too. A couple years ago I would have jumped at the idea. Now I don't want to go. I don't want to stay here, but I don't want to go out west either. I don't know what I want. Yes, I do, but I'm not even going to go into that... Let's just say that moving to Washington is not high on my list of priorities right now. Besides that, we could never get Ruger all the way to Washington, we can barely get him to the vet without him barfing all over the place and that's less than 3 miles. I don't think I really have to worry about it, Steve seemed excited about the prospect, but I've been married to him long enough to know he won't do anything about it, so I don't know why I even mentioned it.

As far as WheatField's goes... Yum! This same guy used to own the Garden Cafe here in town (there used to be quite a few, but now there's only one left). His wife is a police lieutenant or captain, or something. Anyway, they have the BEST food. Yum! I had an bacon and egg stratta and Steve had quiche. It was great! We went about 10, which was a good time to go, by 12:30 when we left there were about 40 people in line and cars parked all the way down the street. Good place.

I had a photography class yesterday, it was fun, I really enjoyed it. You know me though, as the day approached I got more and more apprehensive about going, and almost talked myself out of it. I'm glad I didn't. I learned a lot about my camera and taking better pictures, so it was well worth the money. The same guy teaches a class at Metro that I'd love to take, but unfortunately the class was offered this quarter (which has already started) and next quarter it's not offered. It was offered in the evening this time too, which wouldn't have worked. He works a full time day job, so I doubt it'll be offered in the day for fall or winter either. My luck just bites lately. Next weekend I have a Photoshop class and that one I am really looking forward to. I was planning on getting Photoshop elements next week, but that's been derailed because the vacuum went belly up yesterday. Do you see what I mean about my luck? It's not that big of a deal, I can always get it later, I just wanted it next week. I'm such a whiner...

I was going to babysit Ryan last night, but Candace decided to stay in, so that didn't happen. I just enjoyed a quiet evening at home. The apartments where Steve and I lived when we first got married had a huge fire yesterday afternoon. The actual building we lived it was right across the parking lot from the one that caught on fire, I'm going to go up there this afternoon, it's only about 6 blocks away, and see if I can't get some pictures. It was a bad fire, but luckily no one got hurt.

I just realized I put the wrong date on the bulletin for today - oops. I guess they can consider it an early April Fool's present... I hope the Bishop has a sense of humor.

I think mom and Bob are coming over to watch The Bee Movie tonight. I started watching it the other night, but fell asleep, so I have no idea if it was any good or not, the preveriews looked good anyway.

Amber has started a blog about life with baby, if you get a chance, check it out, you can find it here.

Well, I'm going to go get some pictures. Later.

I think you might want to double check the link to Ambers blog. Fortunately, being a techo geek that I am, I figured it out. :)
