Honey, I'm stuck on you.

All I could think of was "Oh My GOD!" Some are pretty cool, but I think in about 32 years (which is how long I've been out of high school) there are going to be some 50 year old people smacking themselves in the head saying, "What the HELL was I thinking?" Heh

My take on Freecyclers

I belonged to Freecycle a couple years ago, but then just ended up feeling overwhelmed by e-mails, so I unsubbed; but a couple weeks ago I rejoined to try to rid myself of some clutter. I can hardly believe the change in postings. Lately I've seen posting from people wanting living room sets (in great condition), to 21" television sets (with remote, please). What the heck people? I think it's one think for someone to be generous enough to give something away that they could probably sell and make some money on, but it's entirely another to go begging for it. Which is exactly how I see what's going on over at Freecycle. I've seen people ask for laptops for their kids for school to computers so the kids don't have to share. Geez, there must be a lot of people out there more generous than I am. I'm a used clothes swapper and I think kids toys and stuff, but I would never ASK for a television or living room set. But that's just me, I guess.

Hillary Backs Obama

I'll be the first person to admit I'm not into politics. When something interests me I'll research and get involved, but for the most part I really try to stay away from it. (ducking tomatoes thrown from crowd...)

The one thing that really drives me nuts though happened this weekend when Hillary decided she was going to lose and thus ended her presidential bid - and ENDORSED BARAK OBAMA! Am I the only person who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous. Come on... She hasn't had anything good to say about this guy for months and months, and some of what she said, IMHO, was particularly mean-spirited, yet now when she decides she's done with the race, she tells all her followed they should follow him. What the heck? I get it, I mean, obviously she wants a dem in the White House, and since he's (basically) the only one left all the little Hillacons should vote for her opponent, whom she hasn't been able to abide for the last year. Did he suddenly become a "good guy" in her sight? Heck no.

I know, I know, it's how it's done, it's "politically correct", but seriously I think if you drop out of a race maybe you should have have the choice to keep your big yapper shut because I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks Hillary looks like a total fool endorsing Obama. And just in case you're wondering, I don't think Romney should have endorsed McCain either, although I don't think they reached the same level of mudslinging as Hill and Barak did. Still, if you're OPPONENTS for Pete's sake, how can you endorse the other person? Simple minded, I know, but it just irritates the crap out of me and I had to get it off my chest.
